Gustaf is an award-winning Director and VFX Generalist based in the UK.
His debut animated short film Plankton has won multiple awards, including Best Animation at the Oscar Qualifying film festival, InterFilm Berlin. The short was later developed into the comedy short series Drifters for FX Networks, as part of their late-night variety show Cake. Together with FX he also created Black Death, a series of animated comedy shorts starring Natasia and Jamie Demetriou, Ellie White, Becky & Joe, Rob Carter and many more.
He also directed the immersive VR comedy experience All-Star Party for Oculus, spearheading one of the first VR comedy shows ever made.
Previously, Gustaf worked as a visual effects artist on commercials for some of UK's biggest brands, such as Grolsch, Churchill and Lenovo, as well as music videos for artists like Dita von Teese ft. Sébastien Tellier, Sampa and Delta Heavy. He has worked on various independent projects such as the viral phenomenon Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.
Gustaf is an experienced animator for live productions and has created original art for live events at some of UK's biggest and most prestigious venues like The Royal Albert Hall, The London Palladium and The SSE Hydro to name a few.
He grew up in Sweden and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Graphic Arts at The Animation Workshop in Denmark 2014, where he Art Directed the short film Parrot Away. The film was chosen as part of Annecy Film Festivals Official Selection 2015.
